*First Thoughts* Entryway Package

The 'First Thoughts' Entryway Package has been specifically devised to provide the ultimate entry point into Thought Leadership. Why? Because most who are new to Thought Leadership marketing are reluctant to jump into a full-blown campaign and we wanted to provide as an Option the smallest, most concentrated 'way in' possible.​​​​

The 'First Thoughts' Package revolves around a core Long-Form Feature (studies suggest 1,890 words as Optimum so we aim for circa 2,000) that 'sets out your stall' as Thought Leaders. Critically, this is not just a random piece of writing: it will centre on the thought, idea or concept that best represents your Company Ethos or Brand, but without at all 'touting' or 'tooting' that Brand. Whilst we always recommend Core Concept work in addition, we can produce an Entryway text without such work: although it may not be quite as focused, sometimes the very act of commissioning this initial piece can trigger clarity on the Company's central concept.

Process & Outcomes 

FIRST THOUGHTS ENTRYWAY PACKAGE 

​

In your initial (complimentary) 40 minute Consultation we will have already gotten to know each other a little and will have discussed some of your Goals, what you have/haven't already tried in terms of Thought Leadership marketing (and PR), and what ideas and subjects are central to your Business.

At this point there is obviously no obligation and we can part ways if there's not a personal fit or if none of the Packages or Bespoke Options are right for you.

​​​

Assuming you want to proceed, we'll then get you on board and arrange another, longer online meeting of â€‹â€‹either 1 or 2 hours (we can either arrange one in-depth 2 hr meeting which will involve 2 parts, or else 2 x separate 1 hour meetings depending on your preference, see below). 

​

The first hour will be to clarify your exact desired readership (which is usually though not always the same as your desired Client base) and the best subject for this Entryway text, as well as the most effective ways for you to use it.

This meeting will need to include relevant members of your staff, particularly any in-house experts in areas on which you are looking to lead (and where this is not yourself), for example, your Head of Research if you have one, or a specific Director whose specialisation is the area on which you want to lead thought.

​​​

Whilst a member of your Marketing team may want to be present so as to be in the loop, the critical people to attend this meeting from the perspective of producing the best material are the relevant Thinkers - yourself and any Subject Expert - since you have the specific knowledge that will set you apart.

If you then want to drill down into the subject area within this same meeting, we can go the full 2 hours. Alternatively, we can have a separate 1 hour meeting later in which Susan will 'interview' the lead thinker to get their key thoughts on the central topic, in order to distil this into the written material (nobody else need attend this second meeting if they don't want to - it will be subject-heavy!).

We will then produce:

​​

- an in-depth feature or text of circa 2,000 words, written to specifically appeal to your target readership;

​​​

- a Bullet-pointed document with suggestions on how to maximise the use of the material. For example, for those seeking to publish conventionally, useful pointers on how to pitch and position the piece. For those seeking to use the piece digitally, guidance on ways to utilise and promote the piece online.

- reasonable amendments are of course included where desired or required.

Terms: Terms are Standard on all Packages and follow the typical 2-part payment model prevalent in the publishing world of 50% upfront payment upon Signature of Agreement and 50% payment upon Delivery, by Bank Transfer. ​​​​​​​​
